THE STORY BEHIND IT ALL
👋 Hello and welcome! My name is Jonathan, and I’m the maker behind Tribe of Five.
My worldview is that it’s critically important to work together and help each other out in order to achieve the goals we want in life.
💡 I believe that when we do work together, each of us will have a much better chance to overcome the obstacles that we are guaranteed to face in the journey of self improvement.
Let me explain...👇
😤 You see, Tribe of Five was born out of my own frustrations and failure trying to build better habits but struggling to consistently take action when life inevitably got in the way.
I've now come to realize I am the type of guy who thrives with accountability.
In school, I had study groups.
And at work, I had co-workers and teammates.
And when I ran marathons, I had training partners.
In each case, they helped me get more done than I could have on my own. And in turn, I helped them get more done too.
💪 That’s because we held each other accountable to show up and to put in the work on a daily basis.
But, when I first started getting into self improvement, I didn't have people in my direct network who I could lean on for accountability and support. And I didn't know where to find them either.
Sure…I had friends who cheered me on and family who offered moral support.
But day-to-day, I didn’t have the equivalent of a running buddy who’d be at the track, or a co-worker who would notice and care if I didn’t show up, or a study group who would go out of their way to share tips and advice.
😣 Instead, I found myself alone and isolated, struggling to make the progress I knew I was capable of.
For instance, I can't tell you how many times I've heard about the benefits of meditating from the Tim Ferriss show…and told myself, "I'm going to try it out tomorrow"...but not follow through.
Thinking back to all the times when I did have accountability in my life, I realized just how important it was to my success.
🚀 So that's why I created Tribe of Five!
My goal is to make it easy to find these other like-minded go getters who are into self improvement, just like I am.
But more than just finding them, my goal is to make it easy to work together and hold each other accountable to read more, write more, and do all the things we know we should be doing but for one reason or another, aren’t consistently doing.
🤓 My philosophy is to "work together and get better, faster".
If you agree with the worldview that it’s better to work together with other like-minded people on the journey of self improvement, then I look forward to see you on Tribe of Five!
